Eugene Koch

String Theory II, scored acrylic, 12" x 18"

Eugene Koch works in his studio overlooking Stonington Harbor where his abstractions frequently suggest local atmospheric phenomenae: sea smoke, fog, or the varying quality of light upon water surfaces.  Experimentation with materials is integral to his process,  Much of Koch's work evolves out of experimentation with materials, which include hand-made clayboard, found logs, plexiglass and LED lighting.
