Lorraine Lans

Lorraine Lans is a painter living in Stonington. She studied at the Cape School of Art, Boston University School of Visual Art, the Fenway Studio and the Malden Bridge School of Art.
Lans paints in the impressionist tradition, painting the light on a subject. She works from the landscape in all seasons, using the varied perspectives of her neighborhood rooftops to create vibrant compositions. In her studio, she paints still lifes, often of fish and food, as well as commissioned portraits.
Lans has won numerous awards for her painting. Her work is included in several corporate and public collections, and has been included in many juried exhibitions.
